Dan, 

 you can tuna fish, but i'm not sure if you can retune a transmitter.  (i know, 
i know: you said "no jokes."... remember: this was a discussion between two old 
warhorse radio types who'd been up since 3am- i had one more am drive fill-in 
this morning, myself.)
  i wouldn't be surprised if they were able to import a mitter pre-tuned to 
94.9 from "somewhere."  there are plenty of stations around that might consider 
a loan of a spare, ready-to-go transmitter, and i'm sure the big Radio 
Transmitter Wholesale Club (or something to that affect) has one or two mitters 
sitting on a shelf for just such an occasion.  i think the intent was to borrow 
space on the Litchfield stick.  the particulars?  i'm not totally sure.
