WYDN/48 (was Re: WMFP/WYDN)

WYDN (Channel 48/Worcester, MA) is a curious animal.
Allegedly, it is supposed to be a "non-commercial,
educational" station. Yeah, right! It is nothing but
a repeater for the "Daystar Television Network". They
are obviously using a 18" dish to receive it as the
picture pixelates quite often. When they lose the
signal, the "default screen" appears just like the
Dish Network receivers do. I see some religious
infomercials quite often, especially "On The Wings Of
Eagles", the same informercial you see on the PAX
stations. So much for being "non-commercial".

One big question, where is the studio? The rules are
that you MUST have a studio within a specified
distance within the City of License (Worcester). If
so, I have not seen ANY local origination!

As for the legal ID..... it is automatically keyed
locally through commands via the satellite feed at the
top of the hour just below the Daystar logo when they
show that "bumper".

Where is their public file? Good question.
