Maurice Gibb has died

The Baby Boomer generation has lost the likes of
George Harrison, John Phillips, and John Entwhistle.
Now, Bee Gees singer Maurice Gibb has passed away
at 53 (of a heart attack while waiting for intestinal
blockage surgery).

Expect oldies and AC stations to play a lot of Bee
Gees tunes in remembrance. (And Howie and VB will
probably have a field day with it...)The band had many
hits in the late 60s/early 70s ("Massachusetts", "I
Started a Joke", "Lonely Days", "Run to Me", "Nights
on Broadway") and had a massive comeback with the
Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. The Brothers Gibb
also wrote and produced songs for the likes of
Olivia Newton John, Yvonne Elliman, Samantha Sang,
and Kenny Rogers.
