Well, being in the technical end of Broadcasting, I don't really consider
this to be a job in the performing arts. I really don't know the political
viewpoint of most of the people I work with, it just doesn't come up in
conversation a lot.

Yea, well, while I do enjoy this job compared to others I could be doing,
I'm not here for my health! Had I won the Powerball yesterday, I would be
on my way to some exotic vacation spot by now, and would have Fedex'ed a
copy of the album "Take This Job and Shove It" to my boss at some point
along the way. Now, isn't that a dream many of us, regardless of our
political orientation?

I might add, hopefully without being too far off topic, that my maternal
grandfather was the chairman on the New York State Socialist Party many
years ago. While he died when I was just a young child, and thus had no
influence on my political leanings, I do consider this to be part of my
heritage. I do feel that anyone who thinks that being a Socialist is the
same thing as being a Communist does not know what either one really is.
