RE: WMWM taking a week off...
I was using Winamp to run my internet interests, and switched to a
proprietary (to the hosting company) platform. My oldies playlist is up to
about 72 hours worth without a repeat, fine for an internet presence, but
terrible for an on-air one. Winamp would handle 24 hours, no problem. It
can randomize but not automatically. Someone who invents a plug in to fade
and insert a quarter-hour ID and/or spots would make this very cool. And a
playlist scheduler? Also very cool. But there are some low priced
automation packages out now, spurred on by LPFM, I think, that could do all
of this and more.
