RE: V66 (WVJV-TV)
Perhaps (It is must-carry, even now...) but then people would have a
choice...V-66 or MTV. My point is that most people watching V-66 did so
because it was their ONLY music channel option at the time.
Because Boston and its suburbs generally had good over-the-air TV options,
Cable didn't really take hold until the late 80's or even early 90's.
It's different than in Podunk, where no over-the-air signal was to be had,
so Cable became a viable option as soon as the technology allowed.
