What beans would there be to spill?  Most large
corporations have PACs.  Under federal law, corporate
money can't be given to federal candidates so the PACs
have to raise money from their employees.  With the
ban on soft money (aka corporate money) contributions
to political parties, PACs will play a bigger role in
the process.  It is not surprising that a company
dependent on federal licenses would want to be in a
position to make contributions to candidates.
