Re: Massachusetts Republican Convention Airing Live On WCAP

We went on air at 6am with Warren Shaw, Brian Bradbury and myself (Gary
Francis, I had been there since 4:30am). At Noon Warren & Brian left and
George Anthas joined me for the rest of the convention. We stayed on air
until 4:12pm. We were using the phone line that we use for hockey (a POTS
line with an old QKT box being fed by a Mackie 1402 mixer - hooked to 3
hard-wire mikes, 1 wireless mike, 1 "pool feed", a MD recorder/player for
interviews, and computer generated audio from my HP laptop. I also was
connected to the station automation system with PCAnywhere and was
controlling all the commercials, news, sounders, etc remotely from the
Arena. I also refired the automation at 4:12 remotely from the Arena.
Before Dave & Mark comment on the equipment, no it wasn't the stations, it
was mine - pieces of The Saturday Night Sock Hop equipment (which will
resume in a few weeks on WCAP).

Convention was fun (except for the confetti explosion at the end - about 10
times more confetti than was needed). Tomorrows Lock Monsters game should
find random pieces of confetti around the arena.
