Well, at 57, I don't necessarily believe all the ads, and if I'm
watching a taped program, I fast-forward the commercials. But I do
see ads, and I do sometimes look into and even buy a product whose
existence I learned of by ads.
It depends on the product. I recently saw a long-form commercial for
a 5-video set of Bob Hope shows, roasts, and other appearances. What
I saw looked good, so I called the toll-free number and bought the
set. I doubt that the much-vaunted younger demographic would be as
interested in Bob Hope.
