I agree that the degree of w/w as well as the obvious second-chair of the
loss of military life (the largest single loss of the war) was evidence
that the media put its needs in a place such that judgment was impacted.
Obviously, Mr. Pearl's murder has international implications, moreso than
the story of his capture; it speaks to Musarruf's weakened position within
Pakistan.
