The Fourth Estate

CNN.com indicates this afternoon, "The purported kidnappers holding a
Wall Street Journal reporter hostage say in an e-mail that Mark Pearl
has been killed, but another group disputes the claim." Should be
interesting to see if there will be a change in the degree and
prevalence of reportage from that region. If the claim is accurate that
the reporter has, indeed, been killed, that will take the war in a whole
new direction from the reporting perspective. Will the image of the
reporter and photo journalist nestled in the thick of the action be
aless prevalent?
