Once, someone sent me a tape of an all-blues station
near New Orleans, and at the very end you could hear
them do a simulcast of a local TV station's
dinnertime report. That was a while ago.
Also: of course, for many years people could get
TV audio on certain radios. Some Walkman-type
portables come with AM, FM, TV (Channels 2- 13)
and even weather. I have one at work. I work
nights, and during my "lunch" at 11 pm, I can
tune into Ch. 4, 5 or 7 for their newscasts.
"OK, if you're within this white area of the map,
you'll get snow; the light blue area will get a
mix and the green area will get rain..." :)
