   i've yet to see a power-backup unit function as advertised.  i watched a
friend spend a pretty penny for a brand-new, state-of-the-art unit and the
first time his power went out at his studio, he lost close three weeks worth
of work.  and just about two weeks ago, the Saga building was hit by a
series of "flickers" that kicked on the station's generator, but the third
time within a twenty-minute period was too much for the units to handle.
   as far as "For Shame" goes:  see previous threads regarding "frugal
management."  put the blame/shame where it belongs.  ;-)
