Yes, John Garabedian did overnights as Johnny Gardner.  Yes, he was also at WPTR.  He liked those call letters and they were partial inspiration for the calls of his Natick station WGTR.  He returned there in 1969 as JOhn H. Garabedian.  PM drive and PD.  Changes...and you have found the neeew muuusic!

The JJ Jeffrey who was Melvin X. Melvin is the same one who was the original afternoon drive jock at WRKO.
He's also the Jeffrey of Fuller-Jeffrey.
