RE: Patriots

Well, after the Jets were blowing out the Chiefs, Channel 3 put on the
Patriots game when it was in the 3rd quarter. At least they are trying to
serve everyone.

Well, there may be blackout issues at play, and I don't know what CBS's
policy is, but a lot of the other networks allow their affiliates to carry
a different game if the local management feels it will better serve the
audience. For example: ABC let WCVB carry Avalanche games last spring,
rather than the pre-ordained east-coast game (which was usually the
Rangers).

My (unsolicited) advice: call channel 3, talk to the programming
department, and find out the policy. If that answer doesn't seem quite
right, call CBS Sports in NY, talk to someone in affiliate relations, and
see if they let local stations switch their games. If the answer is yes,
call Channel 3 again and get as many Patriots fans as you can to do the
same.
