I think that's always been the case.  Remember the Camel News Caravan on
television?  

There's a Soanish-language radio station down here in NYC that carries the
"Cabalgata Deportiva Gillette" (Gillette Sports Cavalcade) from Bogota,
Colombia. Guess who sponsors it? :-)
