RE: Update on WCAT



Matt (and the group)-

I certainly hope that Citadel is smarter than that (operative word there is
HOPE). It does not make good business sense to simply take a station off the
air because it's a little AM daytimer. I'm sure they could find a jibguy who
would be able to take this 2.5KW NDD and make good business sense of it. How
hard would it be to get a change to the license to allow 12W operation at
night, a la WJIB/WJTO? Why not get $100K for it, instead of just bulldozing
this licensed operation?

Obviously, there is more to this than I know. Anyone have any further light
that can be shed upon this? I think any of us would be happy to have Citadel
just hand this license over to us to make a go of it - they obviously don't
see much threat in it.
