   As well as being the call-to-action in the Navy to 
give the ship a clean sweep fore and aft, a Sweeper is 
merely a transitional piece from programming element to 
another.
    A Bumper, as well as being an automotive parking aid 
in most major cities, including Boston, is a 
transitional element from programming into commercials.
    a Liner is the wording of a particular positioning 
statement/mission for that particular station.  (i'll 
let you provide the alternatives here: _________. 
 simply fill in the blank on your screen with a yellow 
China Marker; we'll nod and smile knowingly.  please let

    a National is... oh, never mind.
