Sadly, I believe that the problem is not that CNN has failed to
deliver the news in an effective way. The problem is the general
ignorance and ambivelance of young people. Young Americans are more
concerned with matters of conspicious consumption, as is
demonstrated on MTV and other youth oriented media outlets. Kellner
can try and "liven" things up all he wants, but if young people
aren't interested in current events and the world around them, his actions
will be futile. That said, I'm sorry to see some of the new "talent" on
CNN. Zahn is just a pretty face, in my opinion, with dubious journalistic
credentials. Brown looks like he constantly has a hard time not cracking a
silly smile, and his rambling and muttering often trails off into the
realm of the bizarre. I think they're gambling with their core audience.

By the way, I'm 26.
