That's true enough....
I little of topic, but...
When I ran for re-election in '99 (Arrgh...it's almost time to do so again..March '02), I would wake up at 5AM Sunday the last 3 Sundays before election day and put my flyer in with the Sunday Newspapers....Saved me $$$, and I felt that with the 'relaxed' Sunday reader, they'd at least take a look at my flyer.

I don't know how he spent the money, but since there is no local radio
station, I think the money was spent mainly on townwide mailings,
which can be quite expensive, and ads in the local paper. He also had
window and lawn signs, etc. But townwide mailings to all voters can
easily run up the bucks.
