Art Bump dead

Word has reached me that Art Bump, president of Beacon Tower Service,
Inc., died last night of a heart attack. Art was probably the best tower
guy in the northeast, and was invaluable to the New England broadcasting
community. He and his people built WFCC's new tower in Brewster, among
many others, and he has done work at just about every transmitter site in
southern New England at one time or another.

Art was a stickler for quality; he built things to last and never cut
corners. He will be sorely missed.
