When I had my drive-in in North Hampton (1985?), we bought ads and did swaps
with the station.  For the season that I owned the theatre we had the "New
Seacoast Drive-In/WHEB movie phone" with the stations jocks cutting my
answering machine tape.  We did a great cross promotion.

It was amusing when one of their "drive" jocks (I think that it was PM)
approached me with the idea of paying him big $$$ to do a "personal
appearance" (in addition to a remote).  When I didn't take that offer, he
countered with something less ambitious and finally settled for a job as a
cook.  Guess that radio didn't pay that well then either.
