My guess is that advertising was a 'natural' progressing of needing to pay for equipment......and TALENT.

Either that or we could have the 'BUR/'GBH 'underwriters' (translation, advertising for the 88-92mHz band) and augmented with 'plegde drives' all over the radio....no thanks.
