Re: Clear Channel selling off WGUY



The sale of WWBX and WABI was dismissed by the FCC, however, Clear Channel
worked out an arrangement with Gopher Hill so that CC owns WABI, and WWBX
is owned by Gopher Hill, with Clear Channel employees running the station.
There are people who work there on this list that I know of, so they can
clear up the details of that, because I really don't understand it myself.
It looks like dirty corperate radio tricks to me.

So with one less station under their ownership, they had to get rid of
another one of their stations, and WGUI isn't one of their
money-generating stations....so it didn;t suprise me to see them get rid
of it.
