was: Corporate radio. Now: air personality names.

Makes me think of WLS' "John _Records_ Landecker" a popular Top 40 Deejay on that
station "high above the Downtown (Chicago) Burger King" back in the 70s. Heard
airchecks of where he has his parents on the air vouching for his middle name
(Mother's maiden name, if memory serves).

Me, I picked a damn corny one. Island Radio 1570 in 1998... come on guys let's
pick beach/nautical themed names. Rocky Shores (a New Englander) was quickly
changed to Rocky W. Shore. W, for the extra syllable/filler and after a
personality Top Jock I admired Robert W. Morgan (RIP). I've heard a couple of
others include the W initial, and it's of course a call sign designation for
eastern US broadcast stations, etc. Rusty Anchors, Salty Sailor, Soupy Sailor, no,
didn't give things too much thought. This is small potatoes radio. Without chives.
