Are the newsreaders right who refer to Ms. Swift as the 'acting governor' of Massachusetts rather than as the 'governor'? The state web site and the highway signs speedily changed upon her ascendancy; they don't say "acting", but many reporters do. Did we go through a similar confusion when Mr. Weld left office in favor of Mr. Cellucci? --RC
