Actually the 'as' ending is not uncommon in Greek names. Many years back,
a woman I briefly dated (of Greek extraction) - her surname ended in AS
As for Ted SarandAS I just checked the WEEI web site, and both on their
boradcast schedule page and on the page where they have their talent
profiles
they spell his name with the IS ending, who knows?
