Good point. I can certainly understand being uncomfortable in doing a media
interview in a language that is not native to you. Many players have a hard
time staying out of trouble doing such interviews in their native tongue.
At the same time, I still find it strange that major league baseball, with
its vast resources and the large increase in non-English speaking players,
has not come up with a way to consistently address this issue by uniformly
providing interpreters and classes.
