According to a column posted at Digital City Boston's sports columnist's site, Jim Baker is either on suspension or has been fired from the Herald due to essentially plagarizing a column he saw on the Internet.
If Baker's termination did in fact take place, both of Boston's papers would have lost their sports media columnists in a two-month span; Howard Manly left the Globe for "Greater Boston" earlier this year.
In the past, Baker has been involved in some pretty long-running disputes with WEEI hosts (Andelman, Ordway). While he has been criticized in the past by said personalities for shoddy reporting, Baker usually gets his call letters straight (unlike other media reporters in this city).
