MPR's rationale to make changes was based 
on "research".  Coca-Cola's rationale
to change "Coke" to "New Coke" was based
on research, too.  The Coke-drinking
public retorted.  Coke recanted.

Perhaps there needs to be some more research 
on research methodologies.
