When the ABC Direction Network premiered, they pitched themselves as
delivering news stories from the "you" perspective.  The same story on
Information but spun, "If you have a circular driveway, chances are you
don't have to back out into the street.  That's the word from a new
federally funded poll...."  In case you've just tuned in can be easily
refocused with, "..for (the benefit of) those who may be joining us...."
How about, "Right now, it's nine twelve."  Beats out, "Two minutes ago,
it was nine ten."  Then there's what I call the "two timer."  "It's nine
twelve..twelve minutes after nine o'clock...."  <ack>
