Having grown up part of my life in the DC area, I was there when the Senators
left town

in 1971. The Orioles were, at that time a dynasty.

Both were part of the American League, and 32 miles apart. The Senators were a
laughing

stock. This hurt attendance at Griffith stadium, or was RFK stadium?

I was very young.

I don't know what's going on specifically in Montreal, but it would more sense
for a National

League franchise to move in to the DC area.
