If any of those bird fed shows are actually "live" on the affiliate,
the big difference is, local listeners can dial a free phone number
and actually be heard on the (general/national) topic at hand.  Even a
syndi- music show with a live jock in real time can answer a phone.
Even if it's in LA or someplace in Florida, it sure beats 1s & 0s
created 7 hours ago.  Just MHO.
