Rick Larence

PORTSMOUTH - Rick Larence, 63, also known as Anthony Richard Lacovara, of 1
Freedom Circle, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at Portsmouth Regional
Hospital.

He was born in Elmhurst, N.Y., on Nov. 13, 1937, the son of Daniel and
Mildred (Helmridge) Lacovara.

His radio career spanned six decades, starting as a producer for Wolfman
Jack in the late 1950s. From the 1960s to the 1970s, he worked for Capitol
Records and Mercury Records. In the northern New England area, he worked in
Claremont, Portsmouth and Concord. More recently, he was employed by radio
station WTSN in Dover where he was a sports talk show host and was known as
Anthony.

He also had done some local cable television shows in Exeter and Portsmouth.

He was known as an "oldies expert," was an avid sports fan and, in his early
years, enjoyed playing hockey.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna M. Rubolino of Robbinsville, N.J.; and
a granddaughter, Dina Marie Rubolino of Robbinsville, N.J.

LARENCE - Rick Larence, 63, also known as Anthony Richard Lacovara, of 1
Freedom Circle, Portsmouth, died Dec. 9, 2000. Visiting hours will be held
from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at J. Verne Wood Funeral Home -
Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad Street, Portsmouth. Friends invited. Graveside
services will be in New Jersey at a later date.
