And you don't even see the chains throwing much money at an AM these
days...the potential audience isn't there. Sure, there's WBZ, but they
have a solid reputation that goes back decades...a heritage station if
there ever was one. Maybe WRKO and WEEI, but that's about it for AMs that
make a dent in the market. Even semi-heritage calls and frequency aren't
necessarily the key...look at 1520 in Buffalo. Killer signal and (sort of)
heritage calls, and they hardly ever even show up in the Arbs.
I wish him luck, he'll need it.
