The argument is not that they are trying to be heard.  The point is that 
they are trying to stifle the opposing view by threatening the stations 
and/or sponsors for allowing it to be aired. To clarify, they are saying, 
"Listen to me, I want to be heard".  They are saying, "If you allow the 
other side to be heard, I will hurt you financially".  This is what I 
object to.

In this particular case, if they don't like Dr. Laura then, as has been 
pointed out to me recently, TV's and radios have tuning knobs.  Don't 
threaten the station or those paying for it for allowing me to decide.
