I wouldn't call 4 color half-page print adverts for wHUB 66
in this week's Arts section as a heavy blitz but those ads(Ahhh,
Boston is our home) are definitely eye-catching(USAB's Miami
creative imaging/production/promotion office has already won
several industry awards for their work in Miami/Dallas/Atlanta).
I guess The Phoenix reader is their target demo with this retro
line-up(MWC, Cheers, Barney Miller, Good Times, What's Happening,
Taxi,Kojak,A-Team). They've been running these ads with lower
frequency for the past 2 months now. I've also seen them advertise
in the Globe and the Herald (most of your probably don't even remember
what are real newspaper looks/feels like :). The print edition of this
week's TV Guide has lots of Star Trek adverts but no listings for
the new station(I believe the on-line edition has their full schedule).
As of two weeks ago, their new office space on Portland Street(just outside
the FleetCenter) was still being worked on. But August 1st is the go-date
(6am)....14 years of endless last minute specials and bargains on ch.66
will finally come to an end at 11:59pm on Monday, July 31st...
