Finally on the air

This past weekend long-awaited WAKN-FM 97.7 Winter Harbor Maine was
noted on the air.
No official sign on was heard, nor any promotions leading up to its'
arrival.
So far, it is just a total simulcast of co-owned, co-located WMDI FM
107.7 Bar Harbor "The Bridge" with mostly adult alternative programming;
although they do feature a Sunday early-morning locally-hosted bluegrass
show, along with a jazz show from 9-12Noon.  They also run NASCAR
Auto-racing Sunday afternoons.

There is a brief, barely discernable top-of-the-hour ID as "WMDI Bar
Harbor, WAKN Winter Harbor... Bridge Broadcasting"

Questions to manager concerning future plans and programming have not
been answered.
