FCC receives 722 applications for low power FM radio



The FCC said on Wednesday it received 73 applications from Indiana, 66 from 
Louisiana, 61 from Oklahoma, 27 from Alaska, 25 from Rhode Island, 19 from 
Utah, 17 from Maryland, 12 from Maine and four from the District of Columbia. 

Anyone have any details on the New England applicants?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Federal Communications Commission said on Wednesday it received 722 applications for low power FM radio stations from community-based organizations and state and local governments in 10 states and the District of Columbia. 

The agency said its preliminary count showed it received the most from California with 309 applications submitted followed by Georgia in a distant second with 109 requests filed....
