Most GOOD portable digital receivers nowadays (i.e. those not made under
the RCA name) have a 9khz/10khz switch for AM and also catch the odd and
even frequencies for FM.

Car radios aren't equipped with this....for the simple reason that it's
kind of hard to drive to Spain over the Atlantic....*grin*
