Re: WBZ using CBS News on overnights?

I always figured that this was because WINS is CBS's news station that is
primarily programmed to the NYC proper.  WCBS is more programmed to the
suburbs.  Given this theory, perhaps the CBS news on the hour remains
appropriate.  I remember that CBS was very strict about carrying the news
on the hour... it could not be taped/delayed or dumped out of early or
anything.  I'm not sure, but it seems to me that some hours, WCBS does
dump out of the CBS feed.  can anyone confirm?  Also, isn't the CBS
hourly news six minutes instead of the customary five?
