The stock Delco AM/FM/cassette unit in my 1989 Chevy Beretta (long since
sold off) had AM stereo.  Used to pull in 'BZ in stereo all the time.
Don't know about earlier or later GMs, though.

No AM stereo in my 1994 Acura Integra (with a stock AM/FM/cassette),
though both AM and FM stereo tuner sections seem excellent in all
other aspects (great range and frequency separation).
