Versions of Stairway to Heaven
Although I am not sure, it looks like, by the poll that they have on
theiir web page, that the versions of "Stairway to Heaven" they were
playing all came from the Atlantic Records release: "Stairways to
Heaven." IIIt was a collection of the best \versions of the song from an
Austrailian TV show called "The Andrew Denton Show" in which he'd have
every one of his musical guests do a version of "Stairway."
Interesting to note that the Rolling Stones and Weird Al Yankovic were
among contributions to the album but were turned down because thier
versions were "too good"
Atlantic Records also own the rights to Led Zeppelin's studio albums,
thier 2 live albums, as well as the two albums Jimmy POage and RObert
Plant have done together...
Speaking of Led Zeppelin, anyone who can pick up WBLM....it is a Led
Zeppelin weekend, lotsa great stuff...
