Might Chet And Nat Get Yanked From WCVB's 11 P.M. News?
I'm not sending this through my normal E-Mail server. To respond, reply

If you saw today's Boston Herald, you know that entering last night's
final night of the February sweeps, that WHDH-7 was on the verge of a
decisive Nielsen win at 11 P.M. over WCVB-5.
Given the fact that WCVB is now a distant second at 11 P.M. (and WBZ-4
beginning to gain), PLUS the well-publicised marital separation of Chet
and Nat PLUS the need to somewhere along the line "build for the
future", might WCVB decide, perhaps within a few days, to pull Chet and
Nat off the 11 P.M. news and replace them with Anthony Everett and
Heather Kahn?
Although normally, the same anchor (or anchors) do the 6 and 11, here in
Boston, we have Jack Williams and Virginia Cha anchor at 6 for WBZ-4,
but Liz Walker and Joe Shortsleeve doing the 11 P.M. news for that
station. Thus, it would not be unprecedented in this market for WCVB to
replace Chet and Nat at 11 with Anthony Everett and Heather Kahn, but
for Chet and Nat to remain at 6, where they are still top-rated.
If WCVB does decide to make a change at 11 P.M., I would think they'd
want to do it ASAP, so the Everett/Kahn team will have a month and a
half together as 11 P.M. co-anchors prior to the start of the May
Sweeps.
