While in southeastern Massachusetts this weekend, I noticed WRNI promoting the premier of "Rhode Island Tonight" Monday (2/28) from 8 to 10 (in place of the rerun of The Connection). According to wrni.org, Monday's program hosted by Sean Daly is the first of four specials to air through this spring. A nightly public affairs program is expected by autumn.
