I wish I had a station like this when I was in high school. If I did, I might
have gotten into radio permanently and gotten more experience than in print,
where I now work.

When I worked for The Beacon-Villager, the local paper covering Maynard and
Stow, as its sports editor for a three-month stretch in 1998, I got to listen
to WAVM quite often while heading to Maynard for one reason or another. A
great station which does a lot of community service. I used to love
listening. The advisor, Joe Magno (IIRC), does a great job teaching the kids
how to act professionally on the air.
