As far as the tallest FM/TV tower in the USA...I think the vote goes to
Sutro Tower in San Fransisco.  Awesome looking thing.  I was up on that
mountain and took a couple of pictures of the towers.  You can see a
picture of it at www.sutro.org (this is a site devoted to opponents of the
already built tower.)
