WBZA

About this time -- 1961 or 62 -- WBZA was just a slave station for mildly
rockin' top 40 WBZ and WBZA was no longer at the Kimball. The other thing
was, WBZ was running a contest "Why is Jefferson Kaye the world's biggest
ham" They shut off 'BZA during the middle of the contest and I never found
out why Jeff Kaye was the world's biggest ham! (Because my 6 transistor
radio couldn't get Boston very well, , and WBZ on evening skywave here, just
East of Springfield, is hard enough to listen to voice, never mind music--Oh
well!)

> I remember it as WBZ, Boston, WBZA, Hotel Kimball, Springfield. That would
> have made the WBZ part legal and the WBZA part illegal.
