WTIC (AM) anniversary broadcast

With no advance fanfare that I ever heard, WTIC (AM) is right now
doing a broadcast marking its 75th anniversdary today. Morning guy Ray
Dunaway has in the studio Bob Steele; sports guy Arnold Dean (on 'TIC since
the '60s); WFSB/Ch 3 anchor guy Al Terzi, ex-TIC in the '60s; and Mark
Davis, news reporter WTNH-TV, Ch 8, the last local evening old-fashioned
talk show guy on WTIC in the '80s (also ex-original WMEX and ex-WVBF).
I wanted to put out an alert for those of you who can catch the
station. Last I knew, it was not broadcasting on the web. The special may
continue until 10 a.m., or may only be a segment shorter than that.
Sorry that for most of you it would require WILD agreeing to shut
off for a couple hours <g>.
        Gotta go roll tape now.
