hey, for once, for what it's worth, Brian actually has his stuff together.
he had been doing mornings in Orlando up until this past spring, when the
company for whom he had been working "blew up" Cool 95, and he lost his
morning gig in favor of Dale Dorman, who is doing the am drive thing from his
home up here. Brian's mom passed away shortly after, and he came north to
help his dad settle the family's affairs and sell the family home. Brian had
given his notice to leave Feb.11, but the station opted to make whatever
change they'd need to make sooner. (can't blame the station since they are
just firing up their new incarnation, and it only makes sense to build some
sort of consistency prior to a spring ratings period) Brian and his dad will
be returning to Deltona (where Brian owns a home).
when i spoke with Brian on the phone, he sounded very up and very positive
about his life, which is contrary to what those of us who know this man with
the great set of pipes and lighting quick wit.
i know he's looking forward to his renewed adventures in the Sunshine
State, and his albeit brief return to Maine's airwaves was welcome and fun.
